First Post

This is my first post on here! I figured it would be a good idea to start journaling my days with Cameron and I thought this would be more fun than writing in a book!

We had a wonderful holiday season and a great new year. Theron, Cameron and I went to U
tah for Christmas and spent it with his family. It was my first Christmas away from my family, but Theron really helped me get though it. I Love him! We got to do some fun things while visiting. First off we made hand puppets that go along with the story of Jesus' birth and then played it out. The day after Christmas we went Power Tumbling. If you don't know what power tumbling is I will explain. Power tumbling is like a gymnastics place where there are several trampolines and a big foam pit to jump in. We had a blast and boy was it a work out. Cameron got to hang out with Grandma and Auntie Sara while Mommy and Daddy worked our butts off. Pulling yourself out of the foam pit was harder than it looks. It took all of the muscles in you body to lift yourself out! We got to stay with Cassie and Jacob and their new little girl Emma Mae. She is so adorable and it was so cute to see her and Cameron together. Cameron always had his hands in her face and punched her a few times on accident of course. All of us parents just stood around and laughed at how cute it was. We are so grateful to them for letting us stay at there home. We had a really fun time there with the family.

On our way home we stopped at the Saint George Temple in Saint George, Utah and also at the Las Vegas Temple. These temples are so beautiful. Theron and I have made a goal to take a picture of us at every temple in the United States. So far we have been to the Twin Falls, Boise, Seattle, Portland, Logan, Ogden, Provo, Bountiful, Mount Timpanogos, Salt Lake, Jordan River, Draper, Saint George, Las Vegas, San Diego, Oquirrh Mountain and Mesa. I think that is all, but I may have missed one or two. 17 down 72 to go! We ended up getting home very late because we took the Temple detours! It was so worth it.

We got to spend New Years Eve with my Mom, Bill (my step dad), my Aunt Chrissy, her bf, and my cousin Ashley. Cass came and played a few games of Uno but then she left. We watched the ball drop and then had to drive home. We had a lot of fun playing Uno for hours and spending time with our family.

Now it is the new year and Theron and I have set a lot of goals. Theron is working on getting healthy and I am eating all of his Christmas candy! Actually we are planning on running a 5k (3.2 miles) this Saturday. I am excited although it has been awhile since I have really worked out. I am hoping I will not hurt too much. :) Some more goals that I have are to get in shape, get up-to-date on Cameron's scrapbook (which is coming along great I might add), and Theron's and my wedding scrapbook (which isn't looking too good), I am making a quilt out of Theron's old jeans, we are also trying to begin a new way of family scripture study which is turning out to be fun and more enjoyable. We hope this year will be better than the last, and we're sure it will be.

Cameron is getting big he is 4months old now and has perfected rolling from his back to his belly. He still has a hard time flipping back over. Its funny he'll roll onto his belly and then scream his head off until I roll him back over and then within a few seconds he is back on his belly screaming. Its cute though. He holds his head up very well and is trying to stand up. He loves to check out everything. He has always got to be sitting up or standing. He is also learning to talk. Ok maybe not talk, but scream! He yells all of the time. It is quite funny because he is not mad or upset he just likes to hear his voice i think! He loves the computer screen and movies. I think its the bright colors. Papi is teaching him about football and basketball and it is so cute because Cameron stares at the TV when Papi is watching sports. Papi always holds him and says, "F-O-O-T-B-A-L-L, foootbaaaalll." He is so funny. Nani just loves her little grandson. She would steal him if she could. She is such a good Nani to him. When Mommy and Daddy go to drill or need a baby sitter she is there to help out. He does really well with her and she LOVES that. Auntie Cass is IN LOVE with him and so are Leilah and Bubby. They enjoy spending time with their baby cousin and can't wait until he is old enough to play with them. He is getting super big! At our last Dr.'s appointment on December 30th he weighed 14lbs 10oz and was 24 1/2inches long! At first we though he was going to be short because he was in the 10th or 15th percentile for his height, but now he is in the 50th! He just loves his Daddy. Theron is always making him laugh and smile. He has him giggling all of the time. He seems to get him all excited right before bed time and then Mommy has to step in and try to put him to sleep. It is a fun trial! Cameron is such a great addition to our little family and we are so excited to see whats in store for us as he grows.

Well I think this is good for now. We are happy to be alive and well and are going to make the most of this great new year!

Here are a few pictures of Cameron's first Christmas!
